Exercise and sports are important for children. Because of school and all kinds of technical devices nowadays, children are sitting more and more and moving less and less. Clubs or sports programs are a great way to do sports and exercise. In my own experience, it is better to exercise with others and have fixed appointments. In Gänserndorf there is a nice wide range of sports events for children, so it can be difficult to decide. Here I have listed a few sports, including contact details, that we can recommend:

SV Marchfelder Bank Gymnastics in Gänserndorf
Gymnastics in Gänserndorf offers great sports courses for children. The courses are grouped by topic and age. Here, the popular Kiddy Gymnastics is offered in the town sports hall, where the children learn how to use the gymnastics equipment in a playful way. In addition, basic skills such as rolling, balancing and proper jumping are learned as prerequisites for apparatus gymnastics. Highly recommended is the adventure gymnastics in the gymnasium of the Gänserndorf elementary school. Here the children can experience the trampoline, tumbling track, foam pit and climbing wall. This session promises lots of action and fun. A new trend is rope skipping, which is also offered at Gymnastics for children. Modern jump-rope skipping in this unit offers learning easy jumps with single and double ropes, getting to know various possibilities and techniques of rope skipping alone, in pairs, as a team, and small joint choreographies. Added value in this sport: it promotes coordination. The Dancing is also not neglected at Gymnastics in Gänserndorf. Conclusion: Our daughter does hip-hop gymnastics and she likes it very much. A really nice trainer who combines modern music that is currently playing on the radio (or has played) with great choreographies.
SportZeit Stindl in Gänserndorf
There is a really great large sports hall with tennis courts on the edge of Gänserndorf, where quite a lot is offered. For children, really great tennis training is offered here. KaMa Tennis with tennis instructor Andreas Mayer offers a balanced training program with content on technique, tactics, coordination, match training and mental training. Children from the age of 4 can come here for training, where they are introduced to this wonderful sport mainly in a playful way.
In addition to tennis, karate sessions and jumping classes are offered for children.

Conclusion: Our children tried the tennis training with Andreas Mayer and were thrilled. After the winter season, the children were able to play small matches against each other. The hall turned out really great and is well thought out. For example, parents can “wait” next to the tennis courts and have a coffee. Simply top-notch!
Tennis training in Weikendorf
The tennis club in Weikendorf is very committed to children. In spring, great tennis training is offered for children from the age of 5. The children's training lasts 30-45 minutes and usually takes place weekly during the season at the tennis court in Weikendorf. Two really great trainers train the children on Monday or Tuesday in small groups.

Conclusion: Our children (and we!) think it is absolutely great training, and they have already taken part several times. Our trainer Kristina is very popular with our children. The children learn the sport of tennis, but games are not neglected either. In summer, the tennis week is highly recommended. By now you have to sign up quickly, because the training sessions are no longer an insider tip and fill up quickly ?
Gänserndorf Goalkeeper School
In Gänserndorf, professional goalkeeper training for children and young people is offered by Christian Weber. From the age of 6, children can learn techniques in a playful way and practice proper catching and the correct sequence of movement with fun. The training sessions are offered for children aged 6-12 and 12-17. Adults can also complete professional goalkeeper training with Christian Weber.
Christian Weber trained as a goalkeeper for a long time in his youth and was actively trained with his team in the second-highest Austrian league. Working with children is a lot of fun for him and he is happy to be able to pass on his knowledge to children.

Judo training in Gänserndorf
Judo is a self-defense and martial art with which you improve body and mind as well as concentration. In progressive steps, you learn how to fall correctly, throws, holds, armlocks and much more. Many children, especially boys, like to fight and defend themselves. In the lessons, the 10 values such as courtesy, helpfulness, honesty, seriousness, respect, modesty, appreciation, courage, self-control and friendship are taught.
The trainer is Andrea Bachofner, who holds the 4th Dan/master grade and is a 4-time national champion. The training takes place in Gänserndorf in the gymnasium at the elementary school in Gänserndorf. Children from the age of 5 can take part, and there are various training options in the Gänserndorf district. Training also takes place in Strasshof, Weikendorf and Angern an der March. The children need a judo uniform, which can be ordered directly from Andrea Bachofner. Furthermore, the children can take part in nice tournaments and complete belt exams.

Conclusion: Our son has been participating here since the start of school and he likes it very much. He is very diligent and dutifully completes the belt exams and takes part in the school tournaments. The tournaments are very well organized and the children are motivated to win a medal or even a trophy. I can warmly recommend judo with Andrea Bachofner.
Union Gänserndorf
