The latest crafting trend is Cloud Slime. It sounds a bit strange, but it’s really great and easy for children. We discovered this craft at Kröll in Gänserndorf. They had some really wonderful things on display, such as various animals and beautiful Easter decorations. We’ve summarized here what you need for it and what you can make with it.
Crafting with Cloud Slime with Children

What you’ll need:
- Cloud Slime, in various colors – available, for example, at Kröll in Gänserndorf
- Styrofoam balls, eggs, butterflies, etc. – available, for example, at Kröll in Gänserndorf
- possibly hooks for hanging – available, for example, at Kröll in Gänserndorf
Instructions
It’s really very easy to work with Cloud Slime. You just need to take the Cloud Slime out of the containers and press it onto the shapes. Depending on your wishes and creativity, beautiful things can be created here. My daughter made really wonderful Easter eggs with it. But a large round Styrofoam ball and a butterfly are still waiting to be colorfully decorated.
A rainbow egg with Cloud Slime

For a rainbow Easter egg, we simply shaped the Cloud Slime into long strips and wrapped them around the egg. Always press everything down firmly.
We let it harden overnight and the next day inserted the hook into the egg. Hold the hooks tightly together before inserting them and push them in. The 2 rods then open inside the egg and therefore hold very well.
A dotted Easter egg with Cloud Slime

We decorated the second egg with dots in many different colors. To do this, always take a small amount of Cloud Slime and press it onto the egg. We filled the spaces in between with the color yellow. For this, again take a little Cloud Slime each time and press it onto the egg.
When the egg is completely covered with Cloud Slime, let it dry a little again and insert the hook.
Snowman with Cloud Slime

To make a snowman with Cloud Slime, you need 2 Styrofoam balls, one larger than the other, as well as white, black, and orange Cloud Slime. Cover both balls with white Cloud Slime. My daughter shaped the snowman’s arms entirely out of Cloud Slime and pressed them firmly onto both sides.
Now shape 4 small round dots from black Cloud Slime: 2 are the eyes and 2 are the buttons. A thin, long black string is glued onto the snowman as the mouth. Shape a suitable top hat from black Cloud Slime. My daughter also made a beautiful black-and-white scarf. To do this, first lay a long black, slightly thicker strip on the table and stick small white strips onto it. Finally, shape the (carrot) nose from orange Cloud Slime, and the snowman is finished.
