Do you want to give flowers, but not the classic bouquet or a potted plant? Then why not try a DIY box full of flowers.
Crafting instructions: Flower box as a gift
What is needed
- Box in any shape, e.g. heart, circle, rectangle, etc. (available at stationery stores)
- Floral foam (florist supplies)
- Aluminum foil
- Flowers with firm stems (e.g. gerberas, roses, etc., preferably in different colors)
- Scissors
- utility knife
- Aluminum foil
- Wooden skewers (e.g. the ones used for grilling)
Instructions for the DIY flower box
First, place the box on the floral foam and mark the size of the box on it. Then cut the soaked floral foam so that it fits into the box. Cover the bottom and sides of the floral foam with aluminum foil and place it into the box. Now shorten the stems of the flowers to a length of approx. 1.5 cm. Use the skewer to drill small holes in the floral foam so that you can insert the flowers nicely. Place the blossoms very close together so that the floral foam is no longer visible. You can create all kinds of patterns here by using only the same types of flowers, or mixed ones. Or you can vary with different colors or just with color nuances. There are no limits to your imagination.
This gift is perfect for Mother's Day, wedding anniversaries, Valentine's Day, or as a small gift for an invitation.
