First Communion is an important experience for boys and girls, as they are welcomed into the church community. Such a celebration is, of course, celebrated in a big way; the girls wear beautiful white dresses and the boys wear suits. Therefore, the table should also be designed very festively.
Table decoration – First Communion
What you’ll need:
- white tablecloth
- white dishes
- white napkins
- possibly silver charger plates
- silver candle holders
- white long-stem candles
- sprigs of ruscus or myrtle
- possibly white gerbera, herbs or ivy
Table decoration for First Communion
Cover the table with the white tablecloth, then set out the dishes and napkins. Place the candles in the candle holders in the middle of the table.
Now decorate the table with fresh plants. Sprigs of ruscus or myrtle look beautiful. Arrange them on the silver charger plates or around the candle holders in the center of the table. Arrangements with white gerbera, herbs and ivy also look lovely. This gives the decoration the perfect finishing touch.
Sweet decoration for Communion

For the children, a sweet table decoration is sure to be a highlight. Here is an idea:
What is needed
- white transparent tulle
- beautiful color-coordinated ribbon
- white wire
- nuts in white
Instructions
Cut the tulle into small squares and place a small amount of nuts on them. Pull the ends of the tulle upward and close them tightly with the ribbon. Shape the fish from the wire and attach it with the ribbon. Distribute these little bags on the table.
Ships as decoration for First Communion
What is needed
- beautiful paper
- sticks
- Tixo, transparent and colorful
- thread
- Scissors
Instructions:
First, fold a ship from the beautiful paper. You can find simple instructions here:Â https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Fs7x4732RQQ
Insert the stick into the middle of the ship and attach it with transparent Tixo. Attach the thread to the bow of the ship with transparent Tixo, wrap it around the mast and attach it on the other side as well. Cut small flags from the colorful Tixo. To do this, simply glue a strip around the thread and cut out a triangle with scissors. Also glue a piece of colorful Tixo around the stick and cut out a triangle as well. Distribute the little ships for each child on the table.
Extra tip: Decorations featuring the traditional fish are a good choice. Here, fish can be cut out of beautiful paper, or made from wire and arranged on the table.
