Coffee - Coffee machine

Coffee is considered a popular drink in the morning and afternoon. The reason for this is both its good taste and the invigorating effect of the caffeine contained in the coffee. You can get different types of coffee that differ from one another in terms of country of origin, taste, and price range. In addition, you can choose from a multitude of different preparation methods.

Coffee varieties from all over the world

The aroma of the coffee varies depending on the cultivation region. While varieties from Central and South America have a highly aromatic taste, African coffee is known for its spicy aroma. Another cultivation region is Asia. The following coffee varieties promise you a high-quality aroma:

  • Arabica,
  • Liberica,
  • Kopi Luwak,
  • Robusta,
  • Maragogype.

The latter has a low acidity and is therefore gentle on the stomach. Due to the large coffee beans, this variety is considered the "elephant bean".
In addition to the variety, the grind determines the taste of the coffee. An espresso or mocha coffee requires a flour-fine coffee powder. In contrast, the powder for a filter coffee is ideally medium-fine to coarse. For home use, a hand grinder is recommended. No heat is generated during the grinding process. This guarantees a stronger aroma and a good coffee taste. After grinding, brew the coffee as quickly as possible. Otherwise, some of the aroma will be lost. To preserve it, store the coffee at a temperature between eight and 18 degrees Celsius. Also, protect the powder from sunlight, oxygen, and moisture. An opaque tin can or similar objects are suitable for storage.

Invigorating effect thanks to caffeine

Coffee is known for its invigorating effect. This occurs 20 to 30 minutes after consumption. Caffeine strengthens the nervous system and also increases the ability to concentrate. Last but not least, coffee activates the body's own metabolism and thus strengthens your circulation. For an optimal aroma, use seven to ten grams of coffee powder per cup. After brewing, enjoy your coffee as soon as possible. After about 30 minutes, the aromatic substances escape, which causes the coffee taste to diminish.
