Stainless steel pots are wonderful for cooking – to ensure they stay beautiful for a long time, here are the best care tips:
Cleaning stainless steel pots
Spinach cooking water
Do not pour away the cooking water from spinach; instead, use it to clean your stainless steel pots. The oxalic acid it contains makes them shiny again.
Citric acid
If there are stains on the stainless steel pots, wipe them out with citric acid (preferably concentrate). It also works with the remains of a squeezed lemon.
Vinegar
Dull pots can be made to shine with a little vinegar. To do this, let the pot soak with a few drops of vinegar and some water before washing. Vinegar can also be used to remove discoloration. Rub the affected area with a little vinegar.
