Carrot puree is a popular and healthy meal for babies, but unfortunately a nightmare for mothers, as it leaves stubborn stains. In my experience, stain removers have helped little and only burned a hole in my wallet. Besides, I didn’t necessarily want to treat baby clothes with harsh chemicals. Here I got a very simple and gentle trick from a friend:
Sun removes carrot stain
The simplest and best method is the sun.
First, wash the garment (either straight in the washing machine, or, as I do, simply with cold water), and then place it directly in the sun to dry (with the stain facing up). I was able to watch the stain disappear into thin air. The sun really does bleach out the carrot stain. The downside, of course, is that if you do this too often, the garment will fade a little.
