The hallmark of patent leather shoes is their shine, and therefore it should definitely be preserved. Here we have collected a few household tips so that the shoes stay the way they are:
Cleaning patent leather shoes
Patent leather shoes are best cleaned with milk or Vaseline. Just don't clean them with ordinary shoe polish, as this will make them dull. Since patent leather does not like winter, put the shoes on some time before leaving so that they are pre-warmed from the inside and the patent leather does not crack in the cold. Patent leather shoes that have become dull or cloudy will shine again if you rub them with a halved onion and polish them afterwards.
Preventing creases in patent leather shoes
To reduce unsightly creases in patent leather shoes, you only need a little castor oil. Before wearing them for the first time, rub the shoes with a few drops of castor oil.
