The first harbingers of spring immediately lift the mood, and so one wants to bring spring into the house with flowers. Tulips in particular are beautiful in spring and look very pretty in a vase. Unfortunately, they sometimes don't last very long, but here are a few tips to keep tulips fresh for a long time:
Tulips stay fresh in the vase
Pierce the stems
An "air plug" often forms in tulips, which prevents the water supply to the flowers. If you pierce the stems at regular intervals, the tulips will stay fresh longer.
Light of a lamp
If tulips let their heads hang in the vase after a short time, place the vase under a lamp for 1-2 hours and they will straighten up again.
Aspirin
If you dissolve an aspirin in the flower water, flowers that are no longer quite fresh will recover.
