Making pralines yourself

As the saying goes, we eat with our eyes, which is why sweets in particular are often beautifully decorated. Anyone who wants to try this at home doesn't have to buy a Piping bag right away. With this household tip, you can have a great piping bag for decorations in no time:

Freezer bag as a piping bag

Simply take a freezer bag and fill the icing (I use, for example:  200 g powdered sugar and 6 tbsp lemon juice) inside and cut off a corner of any size. Now you can pipe the icing nicely over the pastries.

Parchment paper as a piping nozzle

To do this, roll the parchment paper into a funnel. If it doesn't hold, fix it with tape. Carefully cut off the tip to the desired size. I like to use this when I need couverture in several colors, e.g., for chocolates.

Disposable syringe for finer lines

For finer lines or dots, I use a Disposable syringe, with which you can wonderfully 'draw' on the pastries.
