Two bottle warmers or one? This is one of many questions that parents of twins probably ask themselves at the beginning. We also thought about how best to solve this at the start. In this article, I would like to explain how we decided and why:
The decision
As a parent of twins, I can highly recommend purchasing 2 bottle warmers for the initial period – i.e., specifically the first 3 months!
The problem:the twin babies wake up at different times, want their bottles, and in the meantime, the other bottle cools down because the content is only a small 20-50ml at the beginning. And then figuring out the right temperature with the microwave or a water bath on the stove is a challenge, at least at first.
Solution:That is why there are always 2 bottle warmers ready on the table next to the nursing chairs (note the plural).
Which model of bottle warmer
It almost doesn't matter which bottle warmer you choose; a bottle warmer can cost around €30. On Amazon, there is a good selection of bottle warmers, I can only recommend that all new parents of twins purchase them in time!
The photo above shows our 2 bottle warmers from Reer which are not placed directly on the table next to the nursing chairs, but on a tray, because something always spills when taking out the baby bottles, and it saves you a lot of wiping.
