At the latest when the work in the home office is done, every room is tidied up, the home workout is finished, the daily walk is over, and the last puzzle piece has landed in its rightful place, the question arises: What do I do now? The answer in this case is quite clear: Play games together with the family! Croquet

Croquet equipment generally includes several mallets, balls about the size of a table tennis ball, and hoops. One person sets up an obstacle course using the hoops, which must be traversed from start to finish. In general, the goal of croquet is to get your two balls through the various hoops into the target hoop (peg) as quickly as possible. You do this by tapping the ball with the mallet, similar to (mini) golf. If your own ball passes through a hoop, you may continue playing. Otherwise, it is the next player's turn. The winner is the one who shoots both balls through the target peg first. In the official version, it is necessary to leave the house for the croquet game. A small garden is enough here to ensure an exciting match. However, there are now also game sets that can be used both outdoors and indoors. This is, of course, even more suitable in these times. Thus, you can also enjoy the fun of the game if you do not have a garden or access to the outside world, as is currently the case for most people.

Everyone should have at least heard of the game of darts itself. It is a board that is divided into 20 different areas. Each of these areas or fields corresponds to a different number of points from 1 to 20 that can be won there. The green area around the innermost point (Single Bull) gives 25 points and the red center (Bulls Eye) a full 50 points. You get these points by throwing at the board from the throwing line (called the oche) at a distance of 2.37m using a dart. Depending on where you hit, you get the stated number of points. However, if you hit a certain area, you get either double the number of points (outer ring) or even triple the number (inner ring). A regular game of darts lasts until the score of 301 or 501 is brought exactly to 0 by one of the players hitting the right scores. Using three darts per player, the whole thing goes in turns until someone has finally cracked the zero limit.

There are countless other variations of playing darts, which means that you can really keep yourself busy with it for hours, if not days. For this reason, it provides enormous fun and a lot of variety. And all this with "just" one board and a few darts. For families with smaller children, soft darts are particularly suitable. In this version, the dart tips are not made of metal, but of plastic, which significantly reduces the risk of injury. In addition, the points do not have to be calculated yourself, as they are automatically counted by the
electronic dartboard. The classic among group or family games is definitely

Activity

. The goal is to divide into several groups of at least two people. Then you choose a game piece, place it on the board, and roll the dice. Depending on where the piece lands, you must either explain terms within 60 seconds without using certain (noted on the card) words, act them out pantomimically, or draw them. As soon as someone from your own team guesses the term you explained in one of these ways, you get a point. Meanwhile, the hourglass is running, and you can continue to act out more terms until the time in it has expired. At the end of the round, you may move as many steps on the board as you have collected points. So, one step forward on the field for each correctly guessed word. The winner is the team that crosses the finish line on the board first. This game offers a lot of fun and action with the whole family.ActivityWith these three family games, it should now be ensured that boredom does not arise and that you, or you all, will be entertained again for the time being.
