In the Weinviertler Museumsdorf in Niedersulz, children get an insight into village life from 100 years ago. On an area of 22 hectares, around 80 objects can be visited: farms, a school, craft houses, barns, an inn, chapels, and much more. Many animals are also at home in Niedersulz; pigs, goats, rabbits, and poultry, everything that belongs to a farm, can be found here. On weekends and public holidays, old craft techniques can also be admired.
Extra tip: Great children's birthday parties can be celebrated here – my daughter spent a wonderful birthday here. I can really highly recommend it.

MAMUZ Schloss Asparn/Zaya – MAMUZ Museum Mistelbach
At MAMUZ, you can experience a journey through 40,000 years of human history. Musical instruments from the Stone Age, faithful replicas of residential and craft houses from the Stone Age to the Iron Age. Amethyst World Maissau
This excursion destination has the advantage that it is weatherproof and represents a great experience for the whole family. The largest exposed amethyst vein in the world (!) can be visited here. Roman City Carnuntum
Children (and parents!) can feel the fascination of the Roman era here. Completely rebuilt houses that are fully furnished and even equipped with Roman underfloor heating or functional kitchens are waiting to be discovered.

Family Park Hubhof
In the Family Park Hubhof, a varied range of games and fun is offered on a huge adventure playground. There are 4 different themes here, such as Indian Land, the Fairy Tale Forest, the Amusement Park, and the Dinosaur Forest. In the Dinosaur Forest, 40 life-sized dinosaurs as well as moving prehistoric animals are waiting for you. During the hike through the Fairy Tale Forest, 16 fairy tale scenes can be discovered. In the Indian village, you can search for gemstones, and in the amusement park, children can ride the children's train or let off steam on the bouncy castle.

Prehistoric Museum Nussdorf-Traisental
In the Prehistoric Museum Nussdorf-Traisental, precious archaeological finds are presented. Especially the Bronze Age around 4000 years ago is vividly depicted here. At this place, the largest burial sites in Central Europe were discovered. The oldest exhibit in the museum is a mammoth tusk 3.3 meters long – it is the largest found in Lower Austria. Furthermore, many grave goods are exhibited in the museum and give a good insight into life at that time.

Museum Lower Austria in St. Pölten
The Museum Lower Austria offers varied guided tours as well as special exhibitions. In summer, the 2,500 m² museum garden offers plenty of space for fun; here, sun and shade islands and the playground provide plenty of room to let off steam and rest. In the summer months, wonderful workshops for young researchers as well as animal feedings are offered. The museum consists of 2 houses: the House of History, where a journey through 40,000 years of human history can be taken, and the House of Nature, where you can marvel at over 40 living animal species.

Scooter or mountain cart riding Gemeindealpe
A somewhat different descent promises scooter or mountain cart riding on the Gemeindealpe. With 2 modern chairlifts (a 4-seater chairlift from the valley to the middle station, a 2-seater chairlift from the middle station to the summit), you can comfortably get from 800 m to 1626 m. On the summit of the Gemeindealpe, a unique panoramic view awaits you at the Terzer Haus. Here you can eat very well and sunbathe on the terrace in good weather. Right by the Terzer Haus is a beautiful playground where children can let off steam by climbing and swinging. In any case, you should hike to the summit cross – the view from there is fantastic. Now you can either hike down to the middle station or take the chairlift down again. On the chairlift, you have a wonderful view of the Erlaufsee and the surrounding mountains.
At the middle station, there is also a restaurant where you can strengthen yourself. This is also where the rental for the scooters and mountain carts is located. There are 125 mountain carts in 5 different sizes, as well as 10 monster scooters available there. You choose a suitable helmet and are assigned the appropriate vehicle. After that, you are ready to go. On a winding gravel track of over 4.6 km, you roll steadily downhill into the valley.
Toddlers under 4 years are not allowed to ride the mountain carts. Children between 4 and 8 years and shorter than 140 cm ride for free together with an adult into the valley. 6-8 year olds only pay for the lift ride. From 8 years and a minimum height of 140 cm, they are allowed to steer a mountain cart alone. The height is important, otherwise you cannot reach the pedals.
Extra tip: With the NÖ Card and the Wilde Wunder Card, one ascent and descent is free.

The Gemeindealpe Mitterbach offers approx. 15 km of slope length, as well as a comfortable quad chairlift, a double chairlift, a T-bar lift, and a practice lift at the valley station. Snowboarders will have their fun in the snowpark, which even has its own T-bar lift. The area is very snow-sure, thanks to the snowmaking systems up to the summit. The local ski rental offers modern brand-name goods for optimal equipment.

Bürgeralpe Adventure World Holzknechtland
With children, it is an experience to visit the Bürgeralpe. With the gondola, you can comfortably get up to 1,300 m and spend a wonderful day here. A lovingly designed amusement park for young and old beckons here. The playground can also be accessed with a stroller; large wheels are of course an advantage here. In the Holzknechtland, there are several stations on the subject of the woodcutter. Here, several scenes are reenacted by means of carved figures. Some play areas, such as chasing logs in the water, wood carving, wooden ball tracks, are wonderful activities for the children.
With a train, a ride around the mountain lake can be enjoyed. For adventurers, Europe's highest water ski lift for wakeboard, water skiing, flying carpet & Co. beckons. The playground is generously laid out and houses many beautiful play equipment for children. Culinarically, you can choose between 3 inns or huts here.

Puchi's World on the Schneeberg
Skiing even in summer? Puchi's World makes it possible. By means of a plastic mat slope – by the way, the largest in Austria! – you can also ski in summer. Action is promised by cart riding right next to it on the Wunderwiese. Tire sliding including meadow sliders is also popular with young and old. Adjacent is the Schneeberg chairlift, with which you can comfortably get from 870 to 1210 m and undertake beautiful hikes. Very great for the children are the exciting adventure stations that are to be discovered.

UnterWasserReich Nature Park High Moor Schrems
Experience Waldviertel moors and ponds up close; an adventure exhibition indoors and a water garden with an otter enclosure outdoors offer fascinating insights into this world. Definitely watch the public feedings, enjoy the view from the 20 m high ladder to heaven, try out the adventure playground, and then strengthen yourself in the café.
