Coconut oil

Sweating is an important function of the body that the body cannot do without. It cools the body, detoxifies it, and even protects it. Sweat flushes metabolic waste products out of the body. Together with the skin’s own lipids (fats), sweat forms a natural protective barrier and keeps harmful germs away. We lose almost 0.5 to 1 liter of fluid every day through exhaled air and evaporation through the skin; in hot weather or during physical exertion, even up to 6 liters. Unfortunately, it does not smell particularly good when you sweat. If you would like to make your own deodorant, you will find a recipe with coconut oil here:

Instructions for making your own deodorant with coconut oil

Ingredients:

  • approx. 30-50 g coconut oil
  • 50 g baking soda
  • 40 g cornstarch
  • Jar with lid

Instructions:

Heat the coconut oil in a pot until it is liquid, then add the cornstarch and baking soda and mix well. It should have a creamy consistency. Pour this mixture into a jar with a screw-top lid. For application, an amount about the size of a pea is sufficient. Simply rub it into the armpits.
