For me, reading is a wonderful way to relax. I can switch off, be in another world, and feel wonderfully refreshed afterward. Unfortunately, I haven't quite passed this on to my children (yet?), as they don't like to read. I have to keep telling them to please read something. When they do read, they usually enjoy it, but so far it's never been the case that they just read on their own. Will that come later? I don't know. In any case, I've tried to make reading appealing to my children and have picked out quite a few good books for children aged 8 and up for them. Maybe you also need reading material for your offspring and will find what you're looking for in my list:

The School of Magical Animals – Margit Auer

The children's book Conni, Dina, and the Love Quiz is (more for girls) suitable for ages 10 and up. Conni books are already available for children from 2 years old and are thus a classic among children's books. The character can accompany children throughout their entire childhood. There are many volumes with the most diverse topics.
