One's own health is a precious asset that should always be protected and preserved. In addition to good physical health, mental health is also an important factor in our lives. Without it, even minor tasks can become a major challenge. Furthermore, our psyche has a very large influence on our own quality of life. In the following article, we explain which factors have a positive effect on our psyche and how we can protect our psyche in the long term.

Breaking out of the hamster wheel

The majority of our population goes about the same tasks and obligations day in and day out. In the long term, this promotes a kind of monotony. This, in turn, leads to many people feeling as if they are in a kind of hamster wheel. This feeling is not wrong at all, because anyone who does the same thing every day and does not have the opportunity to do something differently,is in a hamster wheel. It is a cycle that repeats itself continuously. For many people, however, this increasingly leads to dissatisfaction and frustration. In the long run, this can make you ill. In this case, the first warning signals come from the psyche. Fatigue, lack of drive, and exhaustion are just a few symptoms that indicate a troubled psyche. If there is no escape from one's own hamster wheel, serious mental illnesses such as depression or burnout can be the result. The human hamster wheel is like an aquarium in which beautiful and attractive ornamental fish live. The animals often spend their entire lives in one and the same aquarium. With regular changes and species-appropriate keeping of axolotls in an aquarium, this is not a problem and increases the quality of life. Thus, the life of the axolotl should be just as characterized by variety and new opportunities for exploration as ours.

Changes have a great effect

It is the small things in life, the inconspicuous changes, that contribute to us feeling good. In order to be able to break out of the hamster wheel, it is important to focus on the little things and strive for change. Old habits should be changed step by step through new habits. This includes, among other things, a healthy and varied diet. Good food gives the body all the important nutrients and helps to recharge energy reserves. We have more energy and can better master challenges. This also applies to restful sleep. Healthy and restful sleep is just as important for our body as it is for our psyche. People who are in a difficult phase of life are often exhausted and drained. This, in turn, leads to an increase in the amount of sleep required. On average, humans need six to eight hours of sleep, but sometimes the duration must also be increased. It is important, however, that the sleep is restful. Sleep disorders can be effectively combated with various tips and tricks. The furnishing of the bedroom alone can have a major influence on personal sleep quality. The same applies to the sleep routine, because it also has a major influence on healthy and restful sleep. Small changes, such as avoiding sugary foods in the evening or avoiding exciting films and books, can have a positive effect on sleep quality. So, even small changes can help to strengthen and improve one's own psyche.
