The perfect morning routine

If there is one thing that sets different people apart, it is certainly their morning routine. One person jumps happily out of bed at the first ring of the alarm clock and can hardly wait to start the day. The next person, on the other hand, has completely worn out the snooze button on their alarm clock.

A good start to the day is definitely important in order to be productive and to keep going in a good mood until the evening. However, everyone has to define for themselves what this good start can look like.

Mood boosters in the morning

It is probably possible to put almost everyone in a pleasant mood in the morning. For many, for example, a pleasant shiver runs down their spine when they hear the Coffee machines bubbling and the first roasted aromas rise into their nose. You simply know that the first coffee is not far away and that you will get your needed dose of caffeine, which gives you a boost. You should definitely plan a few minutes for your first coffee in the morning. Nothing is worse than drinking the first sip of coffee on the go between the bathroom and the car – and probably scalding your tongue in the process.

Especially people who live in the countryside look forward to opening the windows in the morning and letting fresh air into all the rooms. The positive side effect: invigorating oxygen also gets into the brain immediately and you are awake in no time at all.

The healthy breakfast

People also differ like night and day when it comes to breakfast. While one part of the population simply cannot get anything down in the morning and starts the day on an empty stomach, the other part needs an opulent breakfast and looks forward to the first bite while still in bed.

It is of course advantageous to have fortified yourself with a few nutrients before leaving the house. Breakfast grouches should think about little things that make it easier for them too. If you really don't want to eat anything, maybe a glass of milk will do. To make sure you really look forward to it, you could buy some very special mugs just for breakfast. Because food tastes much better from beautiful tableware – as the saying goes, the eye eats (and drinks) too.

The dark season

Many people find it difficult to get going in the morning, especially in autumn and winter. When it is still dark outside, you would prefer to turn around and snuggle back into your blanket.
For the dark seasons, it is especially important to find morning routines that help you start the day. For example, you can put a candle on the breakfast table. Candlelight immediately creates a cozy and peaceful atmosphere. And perhaps you can manage to take a piece of this pleasant mood with you into your day.

If none of this helps, you should check whether there might be a vitamin D deficiency. Since the body cannot really collect many sun rays in autumn and winter, a deficit can quickly occur here.

Start the day with a sense of achievement

Another way to start the day productively and in a good mood is to give yourself a small sense of achievement right in the morning. This does not have to be big, but it should definitely be something that you can actually accomplish. For example, you could make your bed right after getting up.

Our conclusion

Everyone can learn a morning routine – even the biggest morning grouch. It is important to really pay attention to details here. It is easier to get out of bed in the morning and go into the Kitchen, if you know that a cozy place is waiting for you. But if the dirty dishes from the day before are waiting for you there, which still have to be pre-rinsed and put into the dishwasher, it is all the more tempting to stay in bed.
So prepare everything in the evening for a relaxed start to the day – you will notice the difference.
