My two friends are Bulgarian, so it made sense to spend a summer vacation together with the whole family in Bulgaria. We decided on the DIT Evrika Beach Club Hotel at Sunny Beach in Bulgaria. We chose a room with 4 beds, i.e., a double bed and a bunk bed, and AI (all-inclusive). Here are our experiences:
The hotel DIT Evrika Beach Club Hotel – Bulgaria – Sunny Beach – Nessebar
The 4-star hotel is located directly on the beach, in the northern part of Sunny Beach. The hotel consists of 4 blocks, with green areas and a pool, as well as an aquapark right in the complex, perfect for the children. Right by the hotel are some shops and bars; in the evening, you can wonderfully stroll up and down here.
Room
Beach
The beach is nice, but apparently totally overcrowded in August. The sun loungers are not included with the hotel and must be paid for separately, so we were always in the complex by the pool. However, we always found loungers here. The sea is warm, unfortunately there are jellyfish, you have to be a bit careful.
Sports and Entertainment
The highlight is, of course, the aquapark, which is directly in the hotel complex. Practical that you don't have to walk so far with the children. There are long and high slides here and smaller water play towers for the smaller children. But unfortunately a big drawback: The slides are only usable for a few hours; especially the yellow slide was only in operation for 2 hours a day. You can imagine how big the rush always was. I don't think that's okay in the high season.
In the complex, there is a multifunctional sports field, consisting of two tennis courts, as well as a soccer field. Next to the children's playground, in the middle of the complex, in the greenery, are two bocce courts. In front of the hotel, directly on the beach, a volleyball court is available. Athletes can use the fitness room and a sauna.
The animation was not very imaginative for my taste (e.g., ice cube spitting (!)). Or paddling with a giant paddle, where they turned off the slides beforehand and everyone rushed to the pool.
A kids' club is available, but ours didn't want to try it out.
In the evening, there was a kids' disco for the little ones.
Food service
The buffet was good, I liked the food, both in the restaurant and in the snack bar. The restaurants are very good: the Bulgarian and the Italian one. We couldn't try the Asian one, for example, because it was fully booked for over 4 days. In the Italian restaurant, we were also unlucky; there was a quite long wait for the food. Unfortunately, I didn't like the drinks at all, everything very sweet and so artificial. In the evening at the bar, there was quite a lot going on and there was hardly anything to sit on?
Excursions
You can take a look at Nessebar, it's not far and you can go for a nice stroll. My friend went to the city with her family, we didn't want to. In the evening, we often walked a round along the street; there are many bars and shops here. We also had a photo shoot done, the children in old costumes, that was very funny.

We paid € 3,164.33 for the hotel including flight for 4 people (2 adults and 2 children aged 7).(As of 2016)
Conclusion
Unfortunately, I cannot recommend this hotel. It is totally overcrowded and you notice that the staff cannot cope with it at all. The staff is friendly, but when asking questions, e.g., at the reception, you get a different answer from every employee. Our room was quite okay, except for the bunk bed, which our children could not use because there was no fall protection on the upper bed. So we had to put the mattress on the floor. In the shower, the water unfortunately often did not drain well, and if 4 people shower, it doesn't work out.
I liked the food very much, there was always a lot of choice. I didn't like the drinks, the cocktails at the bar were also not drinkable, but the bartenders were always very friendly.
In the dining hall, there was so much going on that they couldn't keep up. Sometimes the staff only wiped the table with their hand or shook out the tablecloths because it was always totally full.
In the evening after eating, there were hardly any seats available to sit together comfortably.
Loungers are reserved here, but there were always enough available, we always found something.
What I also didn't understand: the slides are only in operation for a very short time. Especially the yellow slide was only in operation for 2 hours (!) a day, even though it didn't even lead into the pool basin. I also found closing time at 6 PM a little early.
Furthermore, I recommend not using the air conditioning; all 4 of us got sick, and we have used air conditioning in every vacation so far. The animation is partly strange: ice cube distance spitting (?) and racing to paddle on a 3 m long surfboard in the pool (where the slides are turned off shortly before and everyone goes into this pool). After a complaint, only a smaller area was used for this.
In the sea, we were also unlucky, as there were unfortunately jellyfish. The location of the hotel is good, right on the beach and near many shops. Also: The Wi-Fi is not free. Definitely book the restaurants right after arriving, because, e.g., the Asian one was fully booked, we couldn't try it at all. Attention, a reservation is only possible from 9-10 AM in front of the main restaurant, also only possible from 9-10 AM: exchange the beach towels.
The last days of our vacation, we then didn't have enough towels in the bathroom anymore, even though we didn't want to have them exchanged. In most hotels, towels are only changed if they are on the floor; maybe it would be better to handle it that way to avoid shortages.
