My daughter tried a chia pudding layered dessert. I think it looks great and we really enjoyed it too. Chia seeds are very healthy and are considered a superfood. They contain omega-3 fatty acids, plenty of protein, and lots of minerals and trace elements. You can find our recipe here:

Chia Layer Dessert with Red Currants

Ingredients:

  • 100 ml yogurt
  • 100 ml milk (you can of course also use plant-based milk here)
  • 3 tbsp chia seeds
  • 1/2 tsp maple syrup
  • 30 g rolled oats
  • 3 dates
  • possibly a little milk and maple syrup for mixing
  • a handful of redcurrants

Instructions:

First, mix the yogurt, milk, maple syrup, and chia seeds with a whisk and let them soak for at least 30 minutes, but preferably overnight.

For the middle layer, chop the dates and mix them with the oats, a little milk, and a little maple syrup. Combining the dates with the milk is relatively difficult; you have to stir for a longer time, or you can put it in a blender.

Extra tip:If you want it more chocolatey, you can also add a teaspoon of cocoa.

Now take a large glass and start with the oat-date mixture. Put a large tablespoon of it into the glass, top with a few redcurrants, and then add the chia pudding on top. Repeat the whole process 3 times. Decorate with redcurrants.
