Good food is an important aspect of a restaurant, but it's also nice when you're seated comfortably and the staff is friendly. That's why I like it all the more when someone recommends a restaurant to me and I already know it could be good. Just recently, a friend asked me where he could go for a nice meal with his mom here in the area. Of course, I recommended a few restaurants to him, and that's how I came up with the idea for this post. Now I can simply send this link and say: pick one. So that you don't have to ask around or think for long either, I've listed my favorites for Gänserndorf and the surrounding area here:
No. 1 Weydner Wirtshaus in Oberweiden
For me, Weydner Wirtshaus is a little gem in this area and therefore my favorite when it comes to good cuisine. The dishes taste excellent; there is traditional Austrian cuisine and dishes with refined nuances. The menu features juices from organic farmers in the surrounding area, and good quality is also the top priority when it comes to the food, which you can definitely taste. The service is extremely friendly and you immediately feel as if you were at a friend's home.
Play boxes and children's chairs are available for children. In the courtyard, children can run around and visit the neighboring pony farm. Anyone planning a large event can rent the event hall on the upper floor, where there is a large room with a stage and bar as well as a large terrace. Weydner Wirtshaus has been renovated with love and very good taste.

No. 2 Yidoo in Gänserndorf
Yidoo, right across from the church in Gänserndorf, is an absolute highlight here in Gänserndorf. They serve truly wonderful Asian dishes, beautifully presented, and the service is sooo friendly. In summer, you can eat on the terrace. If you want to eat at home, you can also pick up the food. Definitely try it; I'm really impressed. My favorite is the flambéed sake—you have to try it.

No. 3 Thai LaLa in Gänserndorf
You can get very good Asian cuisine at Thai LaLa. The focus is on Thai cuisine, but you can also get Japanese rolls and sushi.
Positive:
Really very good Asian food; in summer you can eat outside.
Negative:
It is very small; if you want to eat on site, I recommend booking a table.

No. 4 Marchfelderhof in Deutsch Wagram
A highlight here in the Marchfeld is Marchfelderhof. Great ambience, a large and good selection of dishes. Eating here is an experience and something you have to try. They serve very good home-style cooking here.

Also one of our favorite places here in Gänserndorf. Asian cuisine, which you can either have served to you or get from a buffet. The Teppanyaki buffet is really great, where you choose your own raw ingredients and have the chef cook them for you.

Often very full; definitely reserve a table.

You can find a really great restaurant in Reyersdorf: Landgasthaus Demel. Here you can sit nicely both outside and inside and enjoy very good food. They offer typical home-style cooking as well as vegetarian or even vegan delicacies. You can taste the principle of using regional food in organic quality here.

Negative:
Maybe be careful on weekends, as it's very busy and I recommend reserving a table.

No. 8 Zeisl Wirt in Ollersdorf
You can tell when you call that you are welcome here; I reserved a table and then called again because friends were joining us. Sooo friendly on the phone—that's already something special for me these days. And the first impression remained: the food was really very, very good. The portions were huge and actually not expensive. The service was sooo attentive and friendly, a real treat. For example, the way the waitress suggested a sharing fork for our friends' little one—so nice. We felt very comfortable and I can highly recommend the restaurant.
Positive:
Good food, delicacies, good home-style cooking; if you like things like Beuschel or liver, for example, you're in good hands here. In summer there is a garden dining area.
Negative:
Maybe Ollersdorf is a little farther away from Gänserndorf; otherwise I really can't think of anything negative here.

You can get very good home-style cooking at Steirische Bierinsel in Strasshof. Great inn, with a garden dining area for the warmer season.

The only thing that comes to mind here: the garden dining area is right on the main road.

You can eat very well at Ziegelofen in Gänserndorf, right by Fetter. Good home-style cooking is served here. Inside, it is very nicely furnished.

Zündwerk in Strasshof has established itself as a cool meeting place for everyone who likes good American-inspired cuisine. No. 12 Restaurant Chinese City Garten in Strasshof
City Garten in Strasshof is a Chinese restaurant where classic Chinese cuisine is served. Here you can get dishes such as chop suey, fried duck or fried rice with vegetables and meat. The lunch menu is especially tempting, as it is inexpensive and served with soup or a crispy spring roll. In nice weather, you can also eat very pleasantly in the garden dining area.
Positive:
Really good food, very generous portions. Lunch menus are very good.
Negative:
I can't think of anything here.

No. 13 Sinni’s Amtsstube in Gänserndorf
The new restaurant Sinni’s Amtsstube is located in the old Hansy, beneath the registry office on Hauptstraße in Gänserndorf. It presents itself as a restaurant with imperial Austrian cuisine – in other words, traditional dishes with a regional touch. Really good food is served here, prepared with fresh ingredients and care.
Among other things, there is a lunch plate or daily plate, especially as an offer during the week. The restaurant is part of Andreas Sinnhuber's catering business, which also operates the restaurant “Zur Zuckerfabrik” in Leopoldsdorf in the region.
Positive:

No. 14 Gasthaus zur Zuckerfabrik in Leopoldsdorf
You can eat very well at Gasthaus zur Zuckerfabrik in Leopoldsdorf. They have great home-style cooking, and it is regional and seasonal. In summer, you can sit in the garden dining area; next to it is a playground for the children. The children can draw or solve a quiz, and they also get their own menu so they can choose their favorite dish. The parents can enjoy seasonal and regional delicacies in peace from the Genusswirt and founding member of the Genussregion. The food really tastes very good; only the ambience in the inn could, in my opinion, still be improved a little.
