I must admit, sports are not exactly my favorite pastime, but unfortunately, there is no denying that it is very important to stay fit and healthy. In Gänserndorf, there are some great fitness programs at Gymnastics. Every day, fitness programs of various kinds take place both in the morning and in the late afternoon. From yoga and Pilates to figure training, AeroPowerBalance, bodywork, and even bootcamp and Zumba, everything is possible. On the website, you will find the program with days and times: Fitness program at Gymnastics. You usually only need to bring a towel and clean indoor shoes; mats and equipment are all provided.
Other locations
Gymnastics also takes place in Strasshof, Oberweiden, Bockfließ, Leopoldsdorf, Jedenspeigen, or Obersiebenbrunn.

My experiences with Gymnastics in Gänserndorf
I have been with Gymnastics for a few years now, have the GCARD, and am very satisfied. I attend Judith's AeroPowerBalance on Tuesday evenings at 6:30 PM and am now proudly part of the regular crew. Judith puts together a great program for strengthening various muscle groups, and on the side, she is always expanding my Spotify list with great music. Music is really important to me when exercising, so I am always fully carried away and complete my exercises in rhythm. In Judith, I have found my personal trainer who challenges and motivates me every Tuesday.
But I have also attended Petra's classes repeatedly, although I unfortunately cannot quite keep up there yet. I keep trying, though, specifically the Bodywork on Mondays at 6:00 PM or the Mega Fatburner Mix on Wednesdays at 6:00 PM. Petra is a great trainer and does a fantastic program, but I wouldn't recommend it for beginners; I was wiped out after 10 minutes back then (as a real beginner who hadn't done anything before!).
Extra tip: There are always promotions, such as the 1-euro week, where every session costs only one euro and you can try out many things. For example, I already checked out Yoga meets Pilates on a Friday.
I also participated in the Jackpot FIT program for a few seasons; these are highly recommended for beginners. Wolfgang Lehner designed these sessions very well and even tempted me to come twice a week. In the summer, he also does "Bewegt im Park," which always takes place from July to August on Tuesdays at the Funpark at 7:00 PM. I can highly recommend that as well; here, dance steps and strengthening of various muscle groups are trained in the open air. Wolfgang always makes a very good, balanced program; I especially like the back exercises. I can highly recommend it.

My experiences with the Union in Gänserndorf
Back then, we only sampled the parent-child gymnastics; it was very lovingly prepared, but our children didn't really want to at the time. We also checked out badminton once with friends; in principle, I really like badminton, but I didn't feel that comfortable there. You tend to have to come with a partner, and it can happen that too many people are playing and you have to wait for a court. Furthermore, you have to pay a fixed fee per semester. I must admit, I went to the Union in Deutsch-Wagram and played there for years. There, you only paid if you were actually present, and the group was totally great, even though I was usually the only woman.

Sportzeit Stindl offers a large and great tennis hall with 3 granule courts for the cold and rainy days in Gänserndorf. Among other things, there is also a multi-purpose hall where badminton or table tennis can be played. For afterwards, a cozy sports lounge is very suitable for a little something to eat or drink. A sauna can also be found here, where you can visit a mixed Finnish sauna. We have already played tennis here as a family, and everything worked out very well. Our tennis training sessions by the Tennisfreaks also always take place in the Stindl hall; they really do great courses for children and also training for adults. Andreas and I also had weekly training for a while. We very often buy our equipment at JB-Racket. You get really good advice here and have great service. I can highly recommend it.

Brand new in Gänserndorf this year is the Padel Arena. Here are 3 padel tennis courts with floodlights, which can be played on daily from 7 AM to 10 PM. Sanitary facilities such as toilets, showers, and changing rooms are available. A vending machine for drinks is also available; attention: only cash is accepted here. For spectators, there are some tables and chairs with umbrellas. The facility is very nicely designed, like a hotel complex, I think.

In Gänserndorf, the Gänsemarsch is a 5 km long path across Gänserndorf. This walking path leads from the town hall, through the landscape park, and back into the city to the market square and back to the town hall. The individual stations are marked with goose columns and feet, and you can, of course, join and start anywhere on this circular route.

Dancing is healthy and keeps the whole body fit; endurance, skill, agility, and memory are trained here. In Gänserndorf, you can find the Tanzschule Chris, which offers plenty of dance lessons. Whether Latino, Boogie, or simple basic courses or children's courses, there is a lot to be found here. Depending on the course, there are different times and days when the courses take place. My husband and I signed up for the basic course for a while and then for the bronze course. You could attend a course up to twice a week and try out different dances. The courses were carried out very well at the beginning by Chris personally, then again and again by other dance instructors. Dancing is a very nice hobby that you can practice with your partner.

Regional pool
Gänserndorf is one of the few cities here in the area that has a very modern and great indoor pool. There is a large sports pool and a smaller children's pool here.
On one side, there are several smaller diving towers for jumping in. On each side, there are ladders to get into or out of the pool. Furthermore, the new pool offers attractions such as Aquacross, water climbing, and diving towers. The Aquacross is unique in Austria and is an obstacle course on and under the water. With water climbing, skilled climbers can climb up the 5-meter bouldering wall. Here, the right path must be well planned. On one side of the sports pool, there is a 1-meter board and a 3-meter board for jumping in.
The children's pool is located next door in a separate room and is equipped with steps for entering. Throughout the indoor pool, there are a few comfortable lounge chairs for resting. To store your belongings well, there are lockable lockers and changing rooms for changing clothes. Right next to them are the showers and toilets, as well as hair dryers and power outlets for personal hair dryers.

I have no experience here at all. I admit, we 'cheat' here and are at TC Weikendorf. That is a great tennis court, very great lovely club members, and we feel very comfortable there. It started with the children's courses, where the children have been training for years.
