A portable air conditioner can noticeably relieve an overheated room. However, it cannot work efficiently if the exhaust hose is hanging out of a wide-open window, warm air immediately flows back in, or the unit is wedged between furniture. Finding the right location in the room
Place the air conditioner on a solid, level and dry floor. Castors must be secure, and the housing must not wobble. Carpet edges, loose underlays or an uneven floor can amplify vibrations and complicate condensate handling. The minimum clearances to walls, curtains and furniture stated in the manual are more important than general centimeter values.
The route to the window should be short, while the expelled cold air must be able to flow freely into the room. Do not direct the airflow permanently at a bed, desk or seating area. Understand and calculate your power consumption yourself
The EU energy label for air conditioners lists, among other things, efficiency, cooling capacity, power consumption and sound power.
