There are so many beautiful candles and candle holders; when you're in a craft store, you really are spoiled for choice. Unfortunately, it has happened to me more than once that the beautiful candles I bought didn't fit into the candle holder. So that you can keep them anyway, here is a simple tip:

Fill candle holders that are too big with modeling clay

If the candle holder is too wide for the candle, a little modeling clay placed into the holder is enough. This secures the candle in place. Alternatively, you can let candle wax drip into the opening and then press the candle firmly into it and let it dry.
