If you would like whiter teeth, you can buy an expensive whitening toothpaste or save your money and use a simple household tip that our grandmothers already knew. With the home remedy salt, your teeth can shine white again; we have the instructions here:
Salt for white teeth
What you’ll need:
- Pinch of salt
Instructions:
Brushing your teeth with a pinch of salt once a week after your usual cleaning can work wonders. The salt grains act like small abrasive particles that can tackle unsightly and stubborn discolorations. However, caution is advised here too: do not press too hard when brushing with the toothbrush and only use the salt once a week, otherwise the sensitive tooth enamel could be damaged. For people with sensitive teeth and gums, however, this method is not recommended.

Besides salt, there are numerous other inexpensive household remedies for whiter teeth: brush your teeth once a week with baking powder or baking soda (available in every drugstore). The same applies as with salt: do not press too hard! Alternatively, you can use hydrogen peroxide (this is used for professional bleaching at the dentist). But be careful: hydrogen peroxide can severely damage your teeth!
You could also regularly take some lemon juice into your mouth and keep it in your mouth for two to three minutes.
