During painting, it often happens that brushes have become too hard by the next day. Here we have a simple tip so you don't have to throw the brushes away:
Proper brush care
After painting, it is best to thoroughly clean the brushes in warm water with a little dishwashing liquid thoroughly. Then let the brushes dry with the bristle head facing downward or lying flat.
If the brushes are stored with the bristle head facing upward, moisture penetrates into the wooden handles. The material can then easily become brittle, so the brush may become unusable. With a little care, brushes simply last longer.
Hard brushes become soft again
Soapy water
Hard brushes become nice and soft again if you soak them overnight in soapy water and rinse them the next day with carbonated water.
Vinegar
If Paintbrush are hard, you should soak them in hot vinegar water (1:1 mixture) soak them. Then wash them out in warm wash water. If you also add approx. 2 tbsp fabric softener to it, the brushes stay nice and soft.

A small addition: I make brushes soft by soaking them in boiling apple cider vinegar. In stubborn cases, you can also shampoo individual stuck-together brush hairs.
