Everywhere you read that it is healthier to use less salt and, above all, less fat. But how do you put that into practice? Here are a few tips:
Cooking with less fat and salt
Water instead of fat
If you want to fry with less fat, replace half of the frying fat with water. For example, with fried potatoes, the reduction in fat still leads to a tasty meal.
Onions instead of salt
To avoid using too much salt, replace half the amount of salt with a little more onion; this provides more flavor and is much healthier.
Herbs instead of salt
Dishes can also be seasoned very well with herbs. Use less salt and more herbs instead.
