SwaddleMe swaddle sack for colic

The SwaddleMe* The swaddle can be used for lovingly wrapping your baby, can help calm so-called "colicky babies," and the swaddle can also help babies with colic.

What is a swaddle?

Until the beginning of the 20th century, babies were swaddled in a so-called "feather bed" for sleeping. Later, however, both doctors and psychologists argued against "constricting" children, as it was believed that infants, like us adults, needed sufficient space around them.

However, it is now known that newborns, who knew the boundaries of their world from prenatal experiences in the womb, are overwhelmed by the new boundlessness. It is also suspected that the cause of three-month colic lies, among other things, in this circumstance. Midwives and pediatricians therefore now recommend wrapping children in blankets – called swaddling.

Experiencing boundaries mimics the sensation in the womb and thus calms the infants.
However, wrapping requires a precise swaddling technique, which in my experience becomes increasingly difficult as the child grows.

The SwaddleMe swaddle makes wrapping babies much easier, as it is very easy to close with Velcro fasteners.
Furthermore, it is made of 100% cotton and is available in many cute patterns and colors. With the new edition of the SwaddleMe* there is a free 28-page brochure about swaddling and other techniques to calm colicky babies.

Janine's own experience

From my own experience, I am completely convinced of the swaddling technique. My son had severe Colic in the first three and a half months, which plagued him especially in the evenings and did not let him find peace. Carrying him around did not improve the pain; on the contrary, he seemed even more restless to me. On the advice of my midwife, I then wrapped him tightly in a cotton cloth. When he was wrapped so tightly and laid flat on a bed, he was much more content and calmer, which also caused the stomach pain to subside relatively quickly.

However, I must admit that I always had difficulties with the wrapping. If I had known about the SwaddleMe back then, I would definitely have bought it immediately. An investment that is certainly worth it for restless babies with severe colic and colicky babies! Swaddling calms the children and thus also the nerves of stressed parents.

Lovingly wrapping the little ones makes the transition from the womb into our loud and bright world easier for them. In this way, the SwaddleMe contributes to a stable and loving relationship from the very beginning.
