Anyone who enjoys watching commercials on TV must be amazed by all the women. They clean their homes with a happy face, and even heavily soiled areas seem to be cleaned effortlessly. If you believe the commercials, you need a whole arsenal of cleaning agents and cloths. Just to tackle the dust, if you believe the commercials, you need furniture spray, the matching cloth, and one of those great dusters that practically attract dust from a distance. Reality is different.
Dusting done quickly?
I am also one of those cleaning slackers who, in the hope that it will be faster, tries everything new. Unfortunately, no cleaning agent or device on the market has really convinced me. Usually, you just push the dust from one corner to the other. As soon as the furniture spray is wiped away, light dust settles on the furniture again, and those great dusters in the green packaging (I won't mention the name) have the disadvantage that you get caught on all objects with corners and edges, and sometimes something breaks.
Ostrich feather duster
But one thing really convinced me. It sounds totally old-fashioned and looks like it too. An ostrich feather duster. This really attracts the dust; you just have to wave it lightly over the surfaces. The nice thing is that the dust is not stirred up but really stays in the feathers. Due to the anti-static effect, the dust also stays away from the furniture for a certain time. After use, you simply shake out the ostrich feathers and they are ready for use again. Occasionally, you should clean them lightly with clear water and then shake them out well. Dusting is super fast and you don't have to empty every shelf. Anyone who has an ostrich feather duster doesn't need all the bells and whistles from the commercials.
