To protect the environment and your clothes, worn clothing does not always have to be washed immediately. With a few simple household tips, these items can be worn again:
Fresh air
Laundry that is still clean and has only been worn once can be aired out briefly in the fresh air. To do this, hang the laundry on a clothes hanger on the balcony or terrace for a few hours. This makes it smell fresh again and it can be worn once more.
Hot steam
If the items are a bit wrinkled but not dirty, hang them in the bathroom and take a hot shower. The hot steam releases unpleasant odors and smooths out wrinkles.
Extra tip:This also works very well when taking laundry fresh out of a suitcase. Linen clothing in particular gets wrinkled in a suitcase. Simply hang it in the bathroom and run the shower briefly until it gets steamy. This way, you won't have as much stress in the morning if your favorite blouse is wrinkled. Your morning shower will take care of the wrinkles wonderfully.
Tumble dryer
Laundry can also be refreshed with a tumble dryer. Newer models all have a special program for airing out laundry, and if you have a pet, the dryer also does a wonderful job of removing pet hair from your clothes.
Wash white laundry immediately
Only white laundry should go into the washing machine after being worn once, even if it doesn't look dirty at first glance. This is because deodorants, cosmetics, or perfume sometimes darken over time and are then difficult to remove.
