Cleaning the refrigerator with vinegar

The refrigerator houses fresh food. To ensure that this stays fresh and is not contaminated with Bacteria, the refrigerator should be cleaned regularly.

Cleaning the refrigerator

To begin, completely clear out the refrigerator and remove old or expired food. In the meantime, store the food in cooler boxes or another refrigerator.

For cleaning, use some vinegar essence or vinegar cleaner. One capful to about 4 liters of water. It may smell unpleasant, but the vinegar kills mold in the refrigerator and removes unpleasant odors very well.

It is best to take the shelves out of the refrigerator and clean them in the sink; do the same with the compartments attached to the refrigerator door. The empty refrigerator is cleaned thoroughly from top to bottom.

Attention, also don't forget the overflow at the bottom of the refrigerator. Dirt and mold like to settle here. Since the overflow is just a small hole that also contains a small plastic rod, it is difficult to get in with a cloth. A cotton swab proves useful here. You can use it to get well into the hole and pull out all the dirt.

After cleaning

After cleaning, dry everything well and put the food back in the refrigerator. Even if it is time-consuming, you should do this procedure once a month.
