To clean the fireplace window of a tiled stove, there is a very inexpensive remedy:

Newspaper
Simply dampen some old newspaper thoroughly. Now use the wet newspaper to pick up the cooled ash by simply dipping it into it. You can use this ash to wonderfully clean the glass or first loosen the soot stuck to the glass. Afterwards, you just need to wipe the glass again with simple wet newspaper and the glass will look like new :).
