Toy tip: Meister Manny toolbox

A guest article by Miriam:

Children love to imitate their surroundings and incorporate that into their play. So it is natural that if mom or dad comes along with a toolbox, the child wants one too. Disney offers tools from Handy Manny, which I would like to describe in more detail here:

What is in Handy Manny's toolbox?

The toolbox contains the most important tools from Handy Manny – Turner, Stretch, Rusty, Squeeze, Felipe, Flicker, and Pat. The funny thing about the tools is that they move and talk; for example, they sing a funny children's song in such a clear tone that you can even sing along. Another very nice thing about the toy is that the lyrics are always in German, followed immediately by the same text in Spanish. This way, the child playfully gets to know a little bit of the Spanish language.

How is the toolbox equipped?

The toolbox is battery-operated and extremely sturdy, so it survives a fall without any problems and brings joy to young and old alike.

How much does the Handy Manny toolbox cost?

You can get the toolbox via Amazon or various toy stores; the prices are everywhere around 35 to 38 euros, with the batteries already included with the toy. The battery consumption is not that high; with normal play, they last relatively long. Unfortunately, the Handy Manny toolbox is not exactly cheap, but for the good quality, the price is absolutely fine, and since the tool talks and sings, it won't get boring for the children after a short time. That is usually the result when you give a child normal children's tools: after a few days, the things lie unused in a corner.

My experiences with Handy Manny's toolbox

Our 3-year-old daughter is quite taken with this funny toolbox, and when dad works with his toolbox, she is always there with her Handy Manny toolbox and helps diligently. In addition, there is also a cartoon series here that our daughter loves to watch, so it was obvious to give her the matching toolbox.

So if you are looking for a fun gift, you are absolutely right here!

  1. Our son also received this toolbox from his grandma for the Christmas before last. He loves it just as much, and when dad is "tinkering," then Felipe, Turner, Rusty, or Pat have to suffer too ?

but we parents often suffer – because the music is incredibly loud, which I personally find almost too loud!
    otherwise a good, robust gift!
