When cooking, it happens quickly that something burns. Some foods burn very easily and sometimes it happens, of course, that we were simply distracted. It is then not only a pity about the food, but the pots are also usually unusable. Here we have a few tips on how you might still be able to save burnt pots:
Cleaning burnt pots
Dish soap
If something has burnt, it is best to soak the pot immediately with water and dish soap. Just don't let it dry out for long; the longer the pot is left untreated, the more difficult it is to remove.
Water, soda, baking powder, and baking soda
Burnt food in pots is usually difficult to remove. But if you boil the burnt pot with water, soda, baking powder, or baking soda, the burnt residues can be easily removed; I have tried it myself. ?
Baking powder
Baking powder can also help with cleaning: Add a packet of baking powder with a little water to the affected pot and let the mixture soak overnight. This way, the pot can be easily cleaned the next day.
Salt
Salt can also help with a burnt pot bottom: Add 4 tablespoons of salt and 4 tablespoons of water to the affected pot and let it warm up a little on the stove. Then scrub the bottom with a crumpled piece of aluminum foil. Repeat this as often as necessary until all traces are removed.
