Roast duck from the oven sounds more complicated than it is. Because the duck can be prepared very well within a few minutes and finishes almost by itself in the oven. Here is the recipe, give it a try:

Preparation
Preheat the oven to 200°C (392°F) top and bottom heat.
Wash the prepared duck and pat dry.
Then rub the inside and outside with salt and pepper.
Place breast-side down in a roasting pan, pour the boiling water over it, and put it in the oven for 2 1/2 hours.
Roast the duck on all sides until brown and crispy.
Half an hour before the end of the cooking time, place the duck on the oven rack.
Slide it back into the oven and place the roasting pan underneath to catch the fat.
Drizzle the duck with a little cold water and finish roasting.
This will make the skin nice and crispy.
Tips & Notes
The sauce can be refined with red wine, thickened with flour, or you can use a Maggi roast gravy mix for poultry. Skim off a little fat if necessary.
