Chocolate mousse without alcohol for children

A chocolate mousse like this is a really delicious classic dessert. It is usually prepared with alcohol; if children are eating it, I avoid alcohol. So that the children still get a great dessert, I have found a really, really great recipe for a chocolate mousse without alcohol here:

Here is a very good recipe for a chocolate mousse for children.

Extra tip:This mousse can be modified as desired: with spices such as cinnamon, cardamom, or chili, as well as 3 tbsp of small chocolate chips or, of course, with alcohol (approx. 4 cl Grand Marnier, cherry brandy, or cocoa liqueur)

Ingredients

Preparation

  1. Melt the dark chocolate in the microwave.

  2. Whisk the egg yolks and the orange juice over a hot water bath with a whisk for 3 minutes until frothy.

  3. I place a pot on top of a pot filled with water for this.

  4. Immediately mix the egg mixture with the melted chocolate and let it cool slightly.

  5. Meanwhile, whip the cream until stiff and prepare 4 pretty glasses.

  6. Now add the whipped cream to the chocolate mixture and whisk together.

  7. Fill the mousse into the glasses and refrigerate for at least 3 to 4 hours.

  8. The mousse can be decorated as desired with fruits such as raspberries, blueberries, currants, or strawberries.

Tips & Notes

This mousse can be varied as you like: with spices such as cinnamon, cardamom or chili, as well as 3 tbsp small chocolate pieces or, of course, with alcohol (approx. 4 cl Grand Marnier, kirschwasser or chocolate liqueur)
