In the afternoon we had a craving for something sweet — but without sugar. After some research I tried this apple-cinnamon oat cake and I'm delighted. The cake is completely sugar-free and contains dates and healthy apples. The cake can also be served for breakfast, as a snack, or with coffee.

Preparation
Preheat the oven to 185° C (fan-assisted).
Mix the oat flour, walnuts, eggs, almond milk, and baking powder well in a bowl.
Peel and core the apples, and cut them into thin slices with a grater.
Also add the apples to the batter.
Line a baking tin with baking paper and pour in the batter.
Finely blend the dates, almond milk, and cinnamon in a blender.
Spread the cinnamon cream on top of the batter - you can also work it a little into the batter with a fork.
Bake the cake at 185°C (fan) for about 30 minutes.
Tips & Notes
If you don't have oat flour at home, you can simply finely blend rolled oats. I did that with the small Tupper-Turbo-Chef.
Instead of dates, you can of course use other dried fruits: plums, figs, apricots, etc., or use a syrup.
