Greek coffee Frappe

Anyone who knows me knows that I drink little to no coffee, but there is one coffee I cannot say no to: the Greek Café Frappé. This Greek version of iced coffee tastes truly wonderful on hot days and invigorates the senses. I wondered if I could enjoy this drink at home, and I tried out the following recipe:

Ingredients

Preparation

  1. First add the Nescafé to the glass; then, if you want it sweet, add the sugar and at most two fingers' width of ice-cold water.

  2. Using a milk frother or stick blender, whisk the whole mixture until very frothy and repeatedly pull it upward until the glass is half full.

  3. I used a stick blender and it worked very well.

  4. Now add as much cold milk as you like, along with ice cubes, and top up with the ice-cold water.

  5. Enjoy with a straw and dream of vacation.

  6. If you don't have a milk frother, you can mix everything in a cocktail shaker: add the sugar, Nescafé, and water, shake, and fill up with milk and water.

  1. That sounds really great, I will definitely try out your recipe today, but I will certainly pour a strong espresso into it instead of Nescafé:)
