Recipe of the month: Pizza

Tip: Only top the pizza with a few ingredients, otherwise the dough will not cook through and will remain soft in the middle. The dough can be stored very well in the refrigerator for a few days or in the freezer for up to 3 months.

Ingredients

Preparation

  1. Mix the yeast well into lukewarm water, fold the salt into the flour, then make a dough from it.

  2. Knead the dough by hand for as long as possible, ideally 5 – 10 minutes, using enough flour so the dough doesn't stick to the work surface.

  3. Cover the dough with a damp cloth and let it rise in a warm place for at least 30 minutes.

  4. The dough can also rise for several hours and be kneaded again in between!

  5. Preheat the oven to 180° C with top and bottom heat.

  6. Roll the dough out to plate size (15 cm diameter) and top with tomato sauce, spices, vegetables and cheese.

  7. Place the pizza on baking paper into the preheated oven and bake for about 15 minutes!

  8. Important: Start with very high bottom heat so the dough rises and cooks through.

  9. After 5 minutes, reduce the temperature and finish baking for another 10 minutes!
