An eggnog bundt cake is one of my favorite recipes, and I love baking it again and again. My children also enjoy this recipe, even though it contains a shot of eggnog – or perhaps exactly because of that, who knows.

Ingredients

Preparation

  1. Preheat the oven to 180° C with top and bottom heat.

  2. Separate the 4 eggs and beat the egg whites until stiff peaks form.

  3. Beat the butter, the yolk, powdered sugar and vanilla sugar until very creamy.

  4. Add the egg liqueur and mix well.

  5. Mix the flour with the baking powder and the chocolate sprinkles, and add them alternately with the beaten egg whites to the yolk mixture.

  6. Grease the baking pan with butter and dust with a little flour.

  7. Then pour the batter into the baking pan.

  8. Bake the Gugelhupf at 180°C (top and bottom heat) for about 50 minutes.

  9. Use the skewer test to check whether the cake is done.
