Vegetable owl for a buffet

A buffet or finger food is always well received at many parties. If you don't always want to serve something sweet, you can arrange the vegetables as an owl. It's quick to make and is sure to be a hit. My daughter and I 'played' with our food a little to create a lovely vegetable owl:

Extra tip:Of course, you can use any vegetables you like, and the eyes can also be round olives. Naturally, the dip can also vary.

Ingredients

Preparation

  1. Place the 2 small bowls on the oval platter in the upper third.

  2. Above the round bowls are the owl's hair: I cut carrots and kohlrabi into strips for this.

  3. Under the bowls we arranged cucumber slices lengthwise in the middle.

  4. Next to them, on both sides, small cocktail tomatoes and, next to those, strips of bell pepper.

  5. At the very bottom we placed three carrot strips each as feet.

  6. On a cucumber slice we also made the beak from a piece of bell pepper.

  7. For the dip, mix the sour cream with the pressed garlic, the dill and a little salt.

  8. Fill some dip into both bowls and add small cocktail tomatoes as eyes.

  9. The funny vegetable owl is ready.

Tips & Notes

You can of course use any vegetables; the eyes can also be round olives. Naturally the dip can vary as well.
