A very festive roast is the Stefaniebraten. A meatloaf with hard-boiled eggs and gherkins. Here I have a recipe so you can cook a Stefaniebraten at home:

Preparation
Preheat the oven to 180°C (356°F) top and bottom heat.
Peel the onion, chop it finely and sauté it in a little oil, then let cool.
Soak the rolls in lukewarm water, squeeze them out and puree with an immersion blender.
Crush the 3 garlic cloves with a garlic press.
Chop the parsley finely.
Mix the minced meat, bread roll puree, onion, garlic, eggs, parsley, 30 g breadcrumbs, salt, pepper, and marjoram well in a large bowl.
In a large dish, shape the meat mixture into an elongated loaf.
Press a depression into the middle, place the eggs and gherkins inside, and seal it again with the minced meat.
Brush 1 tbsp oil over the minced meat and cover with 1 tbsp breadcrumbs - this makes the roast crispier.
Bake the roast in the oven at 180°C (356°F) with top and bottom heat for approx. 1 hour.
Tips & Notes
If you don't have an immersion blender, simply mash well with a fork.
