Often, exactly on or after St. Nicholas Day, you have a lot of mandarins left over. Ours don't like to eat them quite as much because they are often so fibrous. A good and simple way to use them up anyway is a smoothie. Here you only need to add a mango and you have a great-tasting fruit smoothie. Here is the recipe:
Recipe for a fruit smoothie with mandarins and mango
This recipe makes 4 small glasses
Instructions:
Admittedly, cutting up a mango is not quite that easy, but it's not difficult. Here I have instructions so that it works well:Cutting and pitting a mango
Additional information on why these ingredients are special:
Mangoes are easy to digest, rich in fiber and low in acid; they have a positive effect on the intestinal flora. The mango contains ten different vitamins, is low in minerals and rich in secondary plant compounds.
Mandarins contain plenty of trace elements and minerals, such as calcium. It is a good vitamin C bomb; they also contain the so-called pro-vitamin A, also known as beta-carotene.
