We were really craving cookies, especially with lots of chocolate, so we came across this recipe, which we modified a bit for ourselves. The cookies are truly amazing and you have to try them. But be careful: addictive!

Ingredients

Preparation

  1. Preheat the oven to 170°C (338°F) with top and bottom heat.

  2. Melt the butter in the microwave. Also melt the chocolate in the microwave or over a water bath.

  3. Extra info: For melting on the stovetop, fill a pot with water and place a suitable pot or melting crucible over it.

  4. Beat the soft butter with the brown and white sugar, as well as the vanilla sugar, with a mixer until creamy. Add the melted chocolate, mix well, then add the egg and beat everything very well again. Add the flour, salt, cocoa, baking soda and salt and mix well. Finally, add the chocolate pieces, which are also mixed well into the dough.

  5. Extra info: I didn't use chocolate chips, but simply chopped a chocolate into pieces with a sharp knife.

  6. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper, form small round cookies with your hands, and place them on the parchment paper.

  7. Bake in the oven at 170°C (338°F) with top and bottom heat for approx. 15 minutes.

  8. Extra info: Insert a wooden skewer; when no dough sticks to the skewer, they are done.

  9. Carefully remove the cookies from the baking sheet and let them cool on a wire rack for at least 4-5 minutes. This makes the cookies a bit firmer. They crumble very easily straight out of the oven.
