Tiramisù or Tirami su (Italian for "Pick me up!") is a very popular dessert that originated in the Veneto region. Tiramisu is known for its alternating layers of ladyfingers and a rich cream made from mascarpone, egg yolk, and egg white. According to the recipe, the ladyfingers are soaked in cold espresso, which is flavored with Marsala, brandy, or something similar. For a non-alcoholic version, alternatives such as cocoa or orange juice are available. Since Tiramisu does not keep for long due to the use of raw eggs, it should be consumed quickly. As a rule, it can be kept in the refrigerator for 2-3 days.

Small tip: If you want to avoid alcohol and espresso, you can use orange juice instead. Simply use 500ml of freshly squeezed orange juice – it's healthy and tastes just as delicious! Cocoa is also very good; for this, mix milk with a little cocoa and soak the biscuits in it, which is what my children like best.
Extra tip: A fruity variation, ideal for children, is a Berry Tiramisu.
