Plum season is finally here again and my daughter picked out a very good recipe to use up the delicious fruit. I really like quark and this recipe is just right for me:

Ingredients
Ingredients for the base and streusel
Ingredients for the quark topping
Preparation
Preheat the oven to 170°C (338°F) with fan.
First make the streusel and the topping.
For this, put cubed butter, flour, ground almonds, sugar and cinnamon into the bowl of a stand mixer and knead with the dough hook into a dough.
Press 2/3 of this dough firmly into the bottom of the greased baking pan.
Either with a spoon, or I always do it with my fingers.
Mix the chopped almonds into the remaining dough and set aside as crumble.
Now, in another bowl, stir the quark, eggs, starch, and sugar until smooth using a hand mixer.
Spread the quark mixture over the cake base.
Wash the plums, pit them and halve them.
Arrange the halves, cut side up, on the quark cream.
Top with the almond crumble.
Bake the cake in the oven at 170° C (convection) for about 35 to 40 minutes.
After baking, remove the cake from the oven and let it cool completely.
