These Christmas cookies are very tasty because they contain many different ingredients, such as candied orange peel, pistachios, and almonds. Here is the recipe so you can bake Wolkenstreifen yourself:

Preparation
Separate the eggs, melt the butter, and preheat the oven to 160 °C.
Now knead the butter, sugar, egg yolks, whipped cream, and flour in a bowl into a smooth dough.
Roll out the dough on a floured work surface and place it on the baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
For the topping, beat the egg whites until stiff.
Gradually add the powdered sugar, the cinnamon, and the nutmeg.
Finally fold in the almonds.
Spread this mixture evenly over the dough and smooth it out.
Cut small rectangles with a pastry wheel.
Chop the candied orange peel finely and distribute it nicely with the pistachios over the beaten egg-white mixture.
Bake in the oven at 160° C (top and bottom heat) for about 20 - 25 minutes until lightly baked.
The surface should not brown.
Remove from the oven and let cool; only then carefully remove from the baking sheet.
